Hi, I’m Sue.
Something special happens when we love sweating in a way that strengthens and releases. I believe that MOVEment is the most powerful innate gift given to us as humans and since March 2020 and now into 2023, we need it more than ever.
Having pulled myself off the piano bench at age 18 to start a slow jog around a single block in our small town, I knew instantly that working out would become a constant in my life for the physical and mental benefits. Getting certified as an “aerobics instructor” was the next logical progression in those days and I pumped out high knee lifts and grapevines all throughout University as a part-time job. During my international career with Reuters I was a regular in the weight room and when the babies arrived and I moved the family to Connecticut to work in New York it was a double stroller and long hilly walks after work in the woods. Returning to Canada with two small children inspired me to return to fitness, never guessing I would shift from working in gyms and a ton of volunteering to establish a reach in Burlington, to launching my own business and juggling it with being a full-time mama. From what I started in 2008 to today so much has changed. Exercise science has advanced and humans have become more transparent about the pulls of everyday life and how “feeling good” is about so much more than miles run or deadlift PBs.
If you’re looking for a really safe space to “power your body to empower your spirit”, I can offer you that. The seriousness I apply to your programming, class design, technique and even the musical playlist is matched with a joy in getting to know you so that I can be a part of making your present and future even better.
